The studio3cine Dual Hot Swap is a mission critical power solution enabling continuous power output to the connected devices while safely swapping battery cells. In addition to safe power switch over, multiple cells can be connected to the plates and the power management PCB will load share across both batteries, effectively doubling runtime by sourcing power from both cells simultaneously.
This solution was designed with many professions in mind, focus pullers who need to keep focus stations online at all times. Video Assists and Digital Imaging Technicians who can't allow encoders or transmitters go down due to reboot duration. Or Broadcast engineers who can't allow critical infastructure to be down due to the live nature of their work - allowing for battery swaps on the fly without missing a beat.
Sometimes things go wrong and devices go faulty or a cable becomes damaged. The studio3cine Dual Hot Swap has built in fusing on a per output port level meaning if a bad device is connected to the Dual Hot Swap, only that device will trip. All other devices remain online. Resetting after a failiure is easy to, simply unplug the deffective cable or device and the Dual Hot Swap will automatically reset the failed port in seconds.
